Laura Lindberg, Senior Research Associate
Laura Duberstein Lindberg joined the Guttmacher Institute in February 2004 as a Senior Research Associate. Prior to that Dr. Lindberg worked at Abt Associates in Bethesda, MD, and at the Urban Institute's Population Studies Center in Washington, DC. Her main areas of interest include reproductive health needs and behaviors of young men, and adolescent sexual behavior more generally. Dr. Lindberg’s recent research has included analysis of changes in sex education in the U.S., patterns of non-coital sex among adolescents, and determinants of trends in teen pregnancy. Dr. Lindberg received her undergraduate degree from Princeton University's Woodrow Wilson School of Public and International Affairs, and her M.A. and Ph.D. from the University of Michigan's Sociology Department, having specialized in demography. She also had a post-doctoral fellowship at the University of Chicago. She has published numerous peer-reviewed articles, including recent publications in the Journal of Adolescent Health, American Journal of Public Health, Perspectives on Reproductive and Sexual Health, Public Health Reports, and the American Journal of Men’s Health.
